Manila, Philippines - Former National Youth Commissioner Official and actor Dingdong Dantes shows support to four senatorial candidates in the coming midterm elections.
In a tweet, Dantes said that former Interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas, civic leader Samira Gutoc, former Solicitor General Florin Hilbay and former lawmaker Neri Colmenares stand out in the recent CNN Senatorial Forum.
“I was able to watch CNN’s Senatorial Forum.Para sa akin, stand out sina Roxas, Gutoc at Hilbay. Honorable mention din si Colmenares.I can’t wait to see the one of @gmanetwork’s.Sana sumipot ang lahat ng bigyan ng imbitasyon, lalu na yung mga,alam niyo na,questionable para sa inyo” he said
Dantes campaigned for the presidential bid of former President Benigno Aquino III in 2010, and was subsequently appointed commissioner-at-large of the National Youth Commission in 2014.
In 2016 elections, Dantes had also endorsed and campaigned for then vice president candidate Leni Robredo.
Speculations also came out in late 2018 that the Kapuso actor might enter politics under the Libreral Party’s senatorial slate but later on decided not to pursue.
